CHRISTMAS SHOCKING!Did the Christians always celebrate Christmas?
Historic fact is, the true Christian Church in the early days of America was so against the infiltration of the Pagan festival of Christmas that some believed a religious holy war was at hand. You can get an inkling of how much hatred was aimed at the early Christians by viewing the modern day movie called, “The Grinch that stole Christmas.” That movie is actually a mock up of historic facts. The Grinch symbolizes the early Christian church that did not want to mix Pagan rituals with Christianity. The people that were celebrating Christmas in the film are those that already allowed the deception to take hold in their hearts. The ending of the movie is the actual reality we see today in the Christian world. "A broad element of English Christianity still considered Christmas celebration a pagan blasphemy. The Puritans, Baptists, Quakers, Presbyterians, Calvinists and other denominations brought this opposition to early New England and strong opposition to the holiday lasted in America until the middle of the 18th century." -The Origins of Christmas," Rick Meisel, Dec. 19, 1993, p. 4. When the United States of America came into existence, the Christians that resided here were entirely made up of those that fled the persecutions of the Roman Catholic Church. They knew of the tortures, the murders, the lies, and the false doctrines of Rome first hand. They despised the falsehood so much that they risked life and limb to get away from the hellish abominations. They knew of the Pagan festivals Rome had adopted from Babylon, and they also knew the Bible warned of such activity as being deadly to the soul of the believer. They especially understood and took to heart the prophet Jeremiah’s words when he warned the child of God should “Learn not the way of the heathen” -Jeremiah 10:2 It is plainly written in both the Old and New Testaments of the Creator Himself that we are not to adopt, imitate, embrace, or even consider the rituals of the Babylonian faith in any way shape or form. The Sun worshipping Pagans of Babylon were an abomination unto the Almighty to such a degree that the Creator Himself made it especially apparent that He did not care for their rituals in the slightest sense. He would send many prophets warning the people that their evil acts of worshipping as the Pagan declared was an open and vile offense unto Him. He even worked mighty miracles through one particular prophet named Elijah so as to open the eyes of His children embracing these lies. It is written in -1 Kings 18:21 that, "Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him..." They were given clear as well as quite graphic instruction as to who Baal was and who the Creator was. The choice was truly theirs to make, just as it is ours to make this day. History proves the Roman Catholic Church has been overwhelmingly responsible for choosing Baal over the Creator for centuries. Even the leaders themselves have declared they have no problem adopting Babylonian rites into their church. They have successfully and rather openly mixed Paganism with Christianity for quite some time now. Regardless of the fact that 1 Corinthians 10:21,22 declares, "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?" Cardinal Newman admits in his book that; the "temples, incense, oil lamps, votive offerings, holy water, Holidays, and seasons of devotion, processions, blessings of the fields, sacerdotal vestments, the tonsure (of priests, monks and nuns), images, and statues... are all of Pagan origin." -The Development of the Christian Religion Cardinal Newman p.359 Is the holiday Christmas intertwined within the definition of the word “holidays” in this quote from Roman Catholic Cardinal Newman? Or am I just assuming? Looking to the Catholic Encyclopedia, we do in fact see this is the case. "Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the Church...the first evidence of the feast is from Egypt." "Pagan customs centering around the January calendars gravitated to Christmas." "...In the Scriptures, no one is recorded to have kept a feast or held a great banquet on his [Jesus] birthday. It is only sinners who make great rejoicings over the day in which they were born into this world" -Catholic Encyclopedia, 1911 Edition, published by the Roman Catholic Church One fact many Christians overlook is this. There are actually two ways to prove Christmas is NOT the birth of Jesus Christ. Fact is, Even a non-believer can realize this widely overlooked fact. 1. In Roman history it is understood that Rome would NEVER do a “census” or “taxation” in winter. That time of year would be far too treacherous for man and beast to travel. Summer was not a good time either because of the heat. Spring was also a time not looked upon as preferable simply because of the rainy season. Historic fact is, the time of autumn was well favored by Rome because of the cool dry season that would allow for good travel over land. 2. Another fact is, in the Jewish month of Cheshvan, we find that the Shepard’s tending their flocks would always bring them in from the fields because the Winter season was a little over a month and a half away. They did not want to be in the fields at this time because of the harsh climate approaching that was dangerous for man and beast. Concerning this, Adam Clarke makes the following remark in his commentary: "It was a custom among the Jews to send out their sheep to the desert about the Passover, and bring them home at the commencement of the first rain. [See also the book, The Two Babylons, pages 91,92.] The first rain usually occurred about the Jewish month of Cheshvan. That is around Oct, Nov. to us. Fact is, you can plainly see without being well versed in Scripture that the flocks were brought in well before Dec. 25. If everyone on planet Earth that claims Jesus as Lord would place their faith in "Whatsoever saith the Lord" we would have a LOT less Pagan activities being practiced by Christians. All too often people get offended easily by the truth that can expose the lies they have been embracing for years. But I say, stop! Look! And listen! For you are not entirely at fault here. The devil is a cunning enemy, he has placed wolves in sheep's clothing before you masquerading as Christians, preachers, priests, and ministers to declare unto you the lie of Christmas. Why? So as to confuse the Truth that is held within the Word of the Creator. And to get all the world under his control by partaking in activities of the Pagan. The devil has always wanted to be worshipped as a god. Biblical fact is the prophet Isaiah openly exposes this evil agenda quite nicely. Isaiah 14:12-14, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer …For thou hast said in thine heart …I will be like the most High." All throughout Bible History we see a great controversy between true worship of the Creator and false worship of Satan. It has always been the Christian was called to worship the SON of the Creator, yet the Pagans were directed to worship the SUN that the Creator made instead. The Roman Catholic Church has actually “changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." - Romans 1:25 One doesn’t even have to be a Christian to realize that, number one, Joseph and Mary would never have traveled to Bethlehem to be counted or taxed in winter, and two, the Angels bringing great tidings of joy to the Shepard’s tending their flocks outside in the fields, would not have found them in the fields in winter. Therefore, the assumption that Jesus was born on December 25th is easily thwarted. You don’t even have to be a Christian to see that. Common sense allows for this revelation quite nicely. All it is, is a lie. Plain and simple. We must understand that to embrace Babylonian rituals is to actually deny the Creator Himself. For that is the main goal of the god of Babylon. Satan will direct many to be a wolves in sheep’s clothing for the mere purpose of destroying Christianity from the inside out. And what better method than to make Christians perform, embrace, adopt, imitate, and worship in a Babylonian manner that he designed and called Christmas. Even the secular world knows that, "...Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the church...." -Encyclopedia Britannica, 1946 edition "Christmas... It was, according to many authorities, not celebrated in the first centuries of the Christian church, as the Christian usage in general was to celebrate the death of remarkable persons [eg Communion - death of Christ] rather than their birth..." "...A feast was established in memory of this event [the birth of Jesus] in the fourth century. In the fifth century the Western Church ordered it to be celebrated forever ON THE DAY OF THE OLD ROMAN FEAST OF THE BIRTH OF SOL [SUN], as no certain knowledge of the day of Christ's birth existed." Emphasis added. -Encyclopedia Americana, 1944 Edition Historic fact is Christmas is the birth of the SUN god, not the birth of the Son of God. And Satan really doesn’t care if you call him Jesus. In fact, he prefers it! He IS a wolf IN sheep’s clothing is he not? And he WILL soon appear as Jesus Christ Himself one day soon to all the world so as to gain antichristian worship the world over. He really doesn’t care that you call him “Jesus” as long as it is the Jesus HE preaches to you. And that Jesus is not the one found in the Scriptures. "How much the date of the festival depended upon the pagan Brumalia (December 25th) following the Saturnalia (December 17th-24th), and celebrating the shortest day of the year and the 'new sun'...cannot be accurately determined. The pagan Saturnalia and Brumalia were too deeply entrenched in popular custom to be set aside by Christian influence...The pagan festival with it's riot and merrymaking was so popular that Christians were glad of an excuse to continue its celebration with little change in spirit and in manner. Christian preachers of the West and the Near East protested against the unseemly frivolity with which Christ's birthday was celebrated, while Christians of Mesopotamia accused their western brethren of idolatry and sun worship for adopting as Christian this pagan festival" Emphasis added. -The New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge "...within the Christian Church no such festival as Christmas was ever heard of till the third century, and...not till the fourth century was far advanced did it gain much observance. How, then, did the Romish Church fix on December 25th as Christmas-day? Why, thus: Long before the fourth century, and long before the Christian era itself, a festival was celebrated among the heathen, at that precise time of the year, in honour of the birth of the son of the Babylonian queen of heaven; and it may fairly be presumed that, in order to conciliate the heathen, and to swell the number of nominal adherents of Christianity, the same festival was adopted by the Roman Church, giving it the name of Christ." -The Two Babylons, p 93. If you still need further prompting as to whether or not Satan is graphically involved in the festival called Christmas. Then perhaps a gentle tug at your heart is needed. Has Satan convinced YOU, a Christian, that it is ok to LIE to your children? Think about that for a moment. Parents all over the world have been telling bold face lies to their children since birth about a fat man in a red suit that comes down a chimney to place gifts underneath the tree. Now guess what happens when the child comes of age. The child actually realizes that mommy and daddy have been lying to him the whole time! And not only that, but this child realizes that IT WORKED! He actually realizes deep within his very heart that his parents lied to him and HE BELIEVED THEM! He actually has concrete factual learned knowledge that lying is a resourceful tool that he can use to his advantage. And his own parents taught him. Lying to your child about Jesus being born on December 25th is no different than lying about Santa Clause. A lie is a lie no matter how soft you try to make it. Revelation 21:27 says plainly that, "there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." Biblical fact is, liars are NOT Heaven bound! To tell people Jesus was born December 25 is to tell people a lie. And to tell people it’s ok to mix Paganism with Christianity for the sake of celebrating the birth of Christ is also a lie.
